Out of a variety of carbon credits, we find #forestry carbon credit at the top.

This is mainly found in Latin American and African countries. In Asian countries, it is spread in fewer nations due to lots of population pressure.

It is usually of five types found globally with its range of rates varying from USD 7 to USD 15 per unit. The life of these forestry carbon credit units after a series of validation can stretch up to 40 years

Afforestation and Reforestation activities with or without REDD or REDD+ are the various varieties of forestry allowed as per International guidelines.

All afforestation activities after 1990 are treated as eligible for the carbon credit project.
