DEVELOPMENT OF CARBON CREDITS IN SOUTH AMERICA
1. As per COP 25 each country has to make nationally defined contributions for carbon emissions reduction.
2. Brazil has started buying and selling carbon credit in June 2020 as notified by international consulting firm standard and poor.
3.Amazon forest is being seriously considered for using the mechanism of REDD+ by UNFCCC.
